It’s an event five decades in the making!

On October 1st, Walt Disney World Resort officially kicked off “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in honor of its 50th anniversary. Spanning 18 months, this milestone event brings exciting new attractions, entertainment, and décor to all four theme parks. In true Disney fashion, they even coined a new word—EARidescence—to describe the shimmering details that define this unforgettable celebration.

Magic at Every Park

At Magic Kingdom, Cinderella Castle received a regal transformation with golden bunting, shimmering embellishments, and a glowing 50th-anniversary crest. As day turns into night, the castle becomes a Beacon of Magic, sparkling with pixie dust and nighttime lighting effects.

Each of the other theme parks also has its own beacon:

  • At EPCOT, new lighting shines across the reflective panels of Spaceship Earth, forming constellations in the sky.

  • At Animal Kingdom, magical fireflies bring the Tree of Life to life each evening.

  • At Hollywood Studios, the Hollywood Tower Hotel features new surprises and touches that dazzle after dark.

New Looks and Lasting Magic
